Andrey Vorobyov / Andrew Sprrw
(born 1988, in Fergana, Uzbek SSR)
Composer, multi-instrumentalist (electric and bass guitar, piano, synthesizer), sound designer (films, cartoons, games, performances), sound artist, and teacher. He spent his childhood and youth in Norilsk, 2010-2014 in St. Petersburg, 2015-2017 in Moscow, 2018-2021 in St. Petersburg, 2022-2024 in India, and since 2025 he has been living and working in St. Petersburg. He studied double bass at the Norilsk College of Arts (2007-2010) and took courses in TouchDesigner algorithmic graphics and technical audio design in games (both in 2018). Andrey writes music at the intersection of techno, noise, ambient, and experimental electronics, and also expresses himself in the field of audiovisual art. His compositions are based on modular systems, granular synthesis, and stochastic compositional techniques.
Andrey’s current electronic projects include Andy Quark, RNA, Exact Point, and Vorobyovy Drony. In addition, Andrey actively collaborates with Music Aeterna Dance and has written music for the plays Yul and Lyubovnik. Previously, he was involved in projects such as Yazyok Ptits, Andy Quark, and Anxious Man, and also played in the bands Dream Slave, Da’Formula, Sun Divinorum, Divinea, and Vual Dali.
